We bought the medium size for our Jack Russel cross who is around 6 months old. Our dog loves it! We hide the squirrels and other toys in the stump and our pup loves to chase after it and shake it around to get all of the critters out of it.
It's nice that the whole toy is nice and soft and it has already offered hours of fun. The squirrels on their own make great toys to play fetch with, they have a squeaker in so I wouldn't leave the dog alone with them, but our pup loves carrying them around in his mouth.
My only negative point is the bits if fluff that constantly come off the stump. Our dog is teething and has given all parts of the toy a good old shake around and although it is standing up to the abuse it's getting, I'm not sure how long it'll last. Still a good buy though, and probably one of our dogs favourite toys.

I got this toy for my pup who loves small plushies and is very gentle with them, but destroys big ones. He is a 6-month-old cocker spaniel mix and we got the medium size. The log is surprisingly sturdy and he likes the soft material on his teeth. He has been playing with this toy for half an hour and I haven’t even put treats in it yet. It’s so cute to see him try to carry the log and all three squirrels to his bed at once. The squirrels squeak too, which is adorable. But be careful if your dog likes to rip things apart, because the squirrels seem more fragile.

We are an hour’s full on play in… the dogs do not seem bored with endlessly pulling the squirrels out. If only I could train them to put them back in again !
So far so good - well made
